History

When this unemployment scheme gift to the community opened at the entrance to the Narabeen Lagoon in 1935, it soon became home to local swimming clubs and a popular spot to enjoy a day out in the sun. While the wood may have been replaced over the years, the timber boardwalk that separates the lap pool from the rest of the pool is an original feature that people have now strolled along for more than 80 years.
