Tucked against the side of a cliff at the north end of Queenscliff Beach, this pool is both sheltered from the wind and boasts beautiful beach views towards Manly. Built with unemployment relief scheme funds in 1937, the pool’s walls may not be parallel, but its 50-metre lengths and marked lanes still make it popular with serious swimmers. In 2014 the heritage-listed pool was resurfaced and renovated to include wider ramp access, safer stairs and new ladders, but its shape and view remain the same.
