Giles Baths

In the 1850s, back when there were only a handful of homes at Coogee, residents would bathe in natural rock pools with the men going to this pool in the north and the women heading south. In 1928 The Giles Gym and Baths opened offering electricity treatments and sweat boxes with your hydrotherapy in the pool. After falling into disrepair, the building was demolished in 2000, but the portico entry and the pool itself survive to this day.
